  • Beers ranging from 28 to 12 ounces (I favor ales or lagers)
  • A bunch of fresh thyme
  • 1/2 head cabbage, sliced into 1 1/2-inch wedges
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 3-4 teaspoons prepared horseradish, to taste

To Cook in the Slow Cooker:

  • Place the carrots, onion, and potatoes in a 5- to 6-quart slow cooker and cover with water. Corned beef should be placed on top of the veggies with the fat side facing up. Sprinkle with pickling spice. Pour the beers over the veggies and meat and mix well to combine. Fresh thyme sprigs are scattered on top of the dish. Cover and cook on high for 5-6 hours, or on low for 10-12 hours, until corned beef is cooked
  • Remove from heat. Cook for 45 minutes to 1 hour (or 1 1/2 to 2 hours on low) after arranging the cabbage over the corned meat and covering the pan with a lid. Serve the corned beef thinly sliced against the grain with the veggies and cooking liquid, as well as the horseradish sauce.

It doesn’t matter what I decide to do on Saint Patrick’s Day; I know that eating traditional Irish food will be on my list of priorities. Because Thanksgiving occurs on a Wednesday this year, instead of going out to celebrate, why not invite folks over to your house? However, you will no longer be required to battle the throng in order to wear green or drink Irish beer or eat traditional Irish food. Listed here are six meals that you may offer on St. Patrick’s Day. This is a famous fast bread known asIrish Soda Bread that is often served with traditional Irish dinners.
