St. Francis Hospital – Virginia Mason Franciscan Health

Visitation level 2 will be implemented at all Virginia Mason Franciscan Health hospitals beginning on January 11. (visitation with restrictions). We understand that our patients and their families are going through a tough period. These limits are extremely essential for the health and safety of our patients and employees, and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter.

Before you visit

When entering the premises, all visitors are required to comply with the screening and mask requirements. Visitors with symptoms will not be permitted to enter, and visitors will be required to wear masks given by the hospital or clinic for the duration of their stay. It is necessary to remove any clothing or other forms of personal masks and replace them with a mask given by the hospital or clinic; alternatively, the hospital or clinic provided mask may be worn over a personal mask if preferred.

At this time, hospital visitors are allowed based on the following circumstances:

  • The number of visitors allowed in the hospital is determined on the rate of community transmission and is either one or two visitors per stay/day. There may be exceptions to the termination of life
  • The presence of proof of being completely vaccinated against COVID-19 or proof of getting a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of their stay is required for visitors to inpatient wards. The test must include the following information: the subject’s name, the date of the test, and the results. All COVID-19 tests, with the exception of antibody testing, will be approved. Visitors are required to bring their test results with them to the appointment. Children 13 years and older who have had all of their vaccinations may be counted as designated visitors. Individuals are considered completely immunized if they have all of the following vaccinations:
  • It is recommended that children receive their second dosage in a two-dose series, such as with the Pfizer or Moderna vaccinations
  • Alternatively, two weeks after receiving a single dose of the JohnsonJohnson’s Janssen vaccine.
  • Copies of the COVID-19 immunization record card
  • A printout or digital copy of a completed vaccination record card – this includes both the front and back of the card
  • Or documentation of COVID-19 vaccination from a health-care professional. If you are unable to locate documentation of vaccination, the website for your state’s vaccine record may be of assistance. (If you live in Washington, go to WA Verify.)
  • Each time you come in for a visit, you will be required to provide confirmation of COVID-19 immunization or negative findings from a blood test.

Any approved visitors

  • It is necessary to proceed immediately to a patient’s room
  • The usage of waiting rooms is prohibited. Please plan your arrival and departure timings with us if you have been granted permission to visit. It is necessary to enter through the authorised and recognized guest entry. It is planned to screen for COVID-19 symptoms. You will be required to perform hand hygiene procedures upon entering the building. Wearing a mask given by the hospital is required at all times when within the facility, even while in a patient’s room. Suitable masks must be well-fitting and totally conceal the nose and mouth.
