The faith formation of our young people is the most important part of who we are at St. Margaret of Scotland. Pope Saint John Paul II once wrote in a special document titled Letter to Families: “Parents are the first and most important educators of their own children.” Parents are their child’s first catechists. We embrace that at St. Margaret of Scotland and have the privilege to assist parents in the faith formation of their children.
Our faith is based on the wonderful things that Jesus taught and gave to His earliest followers; among these are the gifts of the sacraments. Preparation for the sacraments of Reconciliation and First Holy Communion take place during the Second Grade and Confirmation preparation happens during the Eighth Grade.
Children in grades K – 8, who are not attending a Catholic school are to be enrolled in the parish children’s faith formation program to receive religious education and formation for the sacraments.

The unseen but ever present Teacher in its classes,
The model of its faculty,
The inspiration of its students”
