Each year, the PTG Volunteer Coordinator must make sure that the PTG has enough parent volunteers to run more than a dozen very important school events. PTG events promote school fellowship and are separate from mandatory diocesan fundraising. The mandatory fundraising policies and credits are administered directly through the school and/or parish office.
Each year, our PTG sponsors several events that nurture the Christian attitude and promote Catholic education. At the beginning of the school year, all families receive a detailed form on PTG fundraisers, along with a volunteer registration form. We ask each family to choose five events they would consider working. We also need folks to take a leadership role, if possible.
The volunteer committee also requests that parents who have special talents, skills or resources, to offer their help. This includes professional services, carpentry, sewing, and clerical help.
