Activities

Activities are a huge part of the SMS experience. St. Margaret School offers activities such as band, forensics, choir and PJAS.

Students in grades 4 – 8 are eligible to take music lessons in flute, trumpet, trombone, saxophone, clarinet, percussion, and violin. Students meet twice a week with a private instructor and perform two concerts a year. There is a fee for this activity.

Students in grades 5 – 8 are eligible to participate in competitive forensics. Areas include poetry, group readings,  and drama.

Students in grades 6 – 8 are eligible to participate in the Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science. Students compete with other schools in the South Hills region.

Students in grades 3 – 8 are eligible to participate in choir. The choir performs at special school masses and local community events.
